Fèis Ìle 2026 is the 40th anniversary of Islay’s annual whisky and music festival, running from 22–31 May. Eleven distilleries released limited-edition bottles across the ten days from Ardbeg’s Marsala-finished Dolce at £85 to Kilchoman’s 15 Year Old Calvados Finish at £130. This guide covers every release TDW has reported on, with prices, tasting notes and availability. Most bottles are now reaching specialist retailers across the UK and EU.

What is Fèis Ìle?

Fèis Ìle pronounced “faysh eela” is the Islay Festival of Music and Malt held annually each May on the Scottish island of Islay. Each of the island’s distilleries hosts an open day during the festival, typically releasing a limited-edition bottling exclusively for the occasion. The 2026 edition marks the festival’s 40th anniversary, making it the largest and most anticipated to date.

Fèis Ìle is not just a whisky event. It combines distillery open days, guided tastings, live music, traditional Scottish ceilidh dancing and community events across the island’s villages. For whisky collectors, it is one of the most important dates in the calendar the limited bottlings sell out quickly and often command significant premiums on the secondary market.

Most Fèis Ìle bottles are available from the distillery on the day, with remaining stock reaching specialist retailers in the weeks following the festival.

Ardbeg Committee members had access from 26 May. General release on Ardbeg Day, 30 May. Available through official Ardbeg stockists internationally.
